Carey J. Jackson, IV
While some leaders are built, many are born. As an agent of change, twenty-year Army veteran and financial advisor, Carey J. Jackson, IV is best known for his unique ability to engage, enrich and enlighten the lives of everyone he comes into contact with daily. Intentional about leaving a lasting impression on everyone he meets, he is unapologetically on a mission to become the best version of himself—and he encourages others to do the same. Where many people see networking as optional, passive social events, Carey knows firsthand that networking is a righteous, spiritual experience, creating synergy between like individuals who can effect greater change at a faster rate.
His innate ability to genuinely connect with people of all walks of life allows him to build trust with complete strangers and make them feel like they’ve known him for decades. After losing his mother his senior year of high school, Carey realized that the military would not only provide a sense of security and stability—but also a sure way to finance college. After attending Wayne State University and the Eastern Michigan University ROTC program, Carey was on a career path of military-related employment opportunities only. Having earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Wayne State, as well as an MBA from University of Phoenix, Carey made a concerted, decisive effort to pursue a career change.
During his tenure in the Army, he was honored to receive numerous awards, including, but not limited to the Army Commendation Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters; the National Defense Service Ribbon; the Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; the Global War On Terrorism Service Medal; as well as the Michigan War On Terrorism Medal. In his debut book, The Field Manual: Life Lessons for Effective Leadership, Carey helps readers leverage significant life lessons learned in order to garner success in all areas of life—in times of war and peace. A faithful member of the Kiwanis Club and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc, he is also the CEO of a non-profit and always strives to provide quality financial literacy for the underserved population and communities.
As a member of the Million Dollar Round Table, Carey is the living epitome of excellence in action. His passion to pay it forward to his grandparents, who raised him by living a life of significance, drives him to create a legacy of leadership and life fulfillment. He is also the proud father of two daughters, Amelia and Adalynn.
